ˇ   The Council of the Certified Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (CIMN) earlier in the year approved the Marketing Technicians Scheme (MTS). The MTS is designed to provide Middle level manpower for the Marketing profession. Marketing Technicians Scheme was launched at the University of Lagos Conference Centre, and it was attended by top Marketing Professionals, Social Dignitaries, Academics and Professionals from other Professional Bodies.

Introduction of Marketing Technici ans Scheme was launched purposely to meet the yearnings of Nigerian aspiring Marketers and Salesmen at the level of junior sales force with no formal Marketing Education. The MTS is to encourage them in pursing professional marketing qualification and career.

Option is open to candidates who completes the Scheme. Upon qualification, MTS graduands are recognized as Marketing Technicians and can become a member of the Association of Marketing Technicians (AMT) Members of the AMT are entitled to claim exempt ions from the CIMN Professional Examination Scheme (Foundation Level).


To provide Salesmen and aspiring future Marketing Professionals general qualification that is professionally recognized within the public and organized private sectors of the economy.

To give Salesmen and Lower Cadre personnel the opportunity to progress towards qualifying as Chartered Marketers by following a well structure career path.

To provide necessary support staff, with adequate skills to become Chartered Marketers.

To give status that is acceptable within the Marketing Profession to Marketing Sales Technicians.

To reduce and eventually eliminate the incident of low quality Marketing / Sales support staff in the economy.
